Subscription plans let you pay a set fee each month in exchange for credits. You redeem your credits for audiobooks. (Audible and Kobo have subscription plans.)

With pay as you go, you buy your audiobooks individually. You’re not locked into a monthly fee and you can find some great deals on audiobooks. (Kobo and and Chirp let you pay-as-you-go.)
