Welcome to Mystery Books Podcast, season two.

I’m sure you thought that I was not coming back, but I am back. It’s just taking me longer to get here than I thought it would. My grand plan of writing a book, then doing the podcast in between books did not quite work out as I had pictured it, but still on track to do a podcast between books. It’s just that this last time my book took a little bit longer to finish than I thought the first draft, and then we moved. And that wasn’t part of the plan that we had at the beginning of the year. It just worked out.

We have moved. We are in a new location and I have a new set up, a new office, which I love. So it’s all good, but it’s just taken a while to get back to it.

So with that said, I did want to let you know that Mystery Books Podcast is back. I’m really excited to share the books with you that I have for this season. We start out with a contemporary mystery. Then we have some classic mysteries from the 1920s, a couple of historical mysteries that were written today but are set in the past and some interesting themes.

I don’t really think about the themes when I pick the books that I’m going to talk about I kind of just talk about what I’ve been reading and enjoying. And this time when I got finished over it, and I was like, “Oh yeah, we have several kind of a World War Two theme, several books set in Singapore.” So some interesting look at different culture from two different points of view with that.

And then I always enjoy the golden age fiction going back and looking at that. And then also we have some mystery TV one episode about that. Not shows that you probably heard of.

I hope you enjoy the variety and the themes this season, and I’m really excited to share them with you. And I will be working on my next book and getting my most recent one through the production process and out in this coming December. No, this coming January. And then I will be back in season three. I hope you enjoy season two. And let’s get to it.
